The ISO 56001 Lead Implementer course gives you the practical knowledge and skills to plan, implement, manage, monitor, and continually improve an Innovation Management System (IMS) based on ISO 56001 — the international standard for managing innovation.
This self-study format lets you work through PECB's official courseware at your own pace, then sit the certification exam when you're ready. As a Reconn student, you also get 1 hour of one-to-one access to our PECB Certified ISO 56001 Lead Implementer trainer, so you're never studying in a vacuum.
By the end of this course, you'll be able to:
The self-study course mirrors the 5-day instructor-led agenda:
After passing the exam, you can apply for a PECB credential based on your experience level — from PECB Certified ISO 56001 Provisional Implementer (no experience required) through to PECB Certified ISO 56001 Senior Lead Implementer (10 years' experience). Most candidates apply for the PECB Certified ISO 56001 Lead Implementer credential, which requires 5 years of professional experience (2 in innovation management) and 300 hours of IMS project experience.
A general working knowledge of IMS concepts and ISO 56001 is recommended before starting.
Yes. Reconn is an Authorized Training Partner of PECB, which means our courses are delivered using official PECB courseware and our certification path follows PECB's Examination and Certification Program (ECP) requirements exactly as PECB defines them.
Your 1-hour consultation is with a Reconn trainer who holds the PECB Certified ISO 56001 Lead Implementer credential — one of a small number of trainers globally certified at this level for ISO 56001. This isn't a generic support agent; it's a working practitioner who has been through the certification process themselves and can speak to both the exam and real-world IMS implementation.
It's yours to use as needed — most students use it for one or more of the following:
Yes. Self-study candidates sit the same PECB ISO 56001 Lead Implementer exam and are eligible for the same PECB credentials as those who take the course in a classroom format. The only difference is the delivery format and pace.
Your first exam attempt, one free retake (if needed, within 12 months of purchase), the certification application fee, the first year of your Annual Maintenance Fee (AMF), full PECB courseware (450+ pages), and your 1-hour session with our PECB Certified ISO 56001 Lead Implementer trainer.
For self-study courses, you have 12 months from your purchase date to complete the exam cycle, including a free retake if your first attempt is unsuccessful.
No prior certification is required to take the course or sit the exam. However, the credential you can apply for after passing depends on your professional experience.
Reconn is an Authorized PECB Training Partner with direct access to a PECB Certified ISO 56001 Lead Implementer trainer — a certification held by very few trainers worldwide for this standard. You get official PECB materials and exam access at the standard PECB price, plus direct trainer support that many self-study options don't include.
