After successfully completing the course and passing the exam, candidates can apply for one of four credentials based on their experience. 

 

The Provisional Crisis Manager credential requires no professional or crisis management experience. 

 

The Crisis Manager credential requires two years of professional experience, one of which is in crisis management, plus at least 200 hours of crisis management activities. 

 

The Lead Crisis Manager credential requires five years of professional experience, two in crisis management, and at least 300 hours of activities. 

 

The Senior Lead Crisis Manager credential requires ten years of professional experience, seven in crisis management, and at least 1,000 hours of activities. All credentials require signing the PECB Code of Ethics.
